What rug should I buy for my living room ?

I have a mint colored living room with grey couch and grey curtains.

Carpentry here are all in white, white tv wall, white display shelves (not shown in pic)

What kind of color should I go for my rug?

I dislike the default white floor tiles but there's nothing much I can do about it.

Using this photo as a general colour inspiration, I would suggest a B/W rug.

Photos didn't attach. Mint is a horrible colour (IMHO) and I have it in spades in my rental. I've ignored it and accented the way I want. It seems to have calmed down since I started using bold colours like red (rugs) and orange (painted cafe street scene). The light in my place is quite warm...so I've been having fun by ignoring the mint. Colours like burnt sienna and many forms of orange seem to work well with mint. Photos would help.

You already have your accent colour as your sofa pillows (log roll pillows). I would take one of them shopping with me to get a rug that has that colour in it. It doesn't need to be a lot of that colour (I love the idea of burgandy rug here...but it might be too much with your monotone scheme). You can find a large rug that incorporates that red/raspberry in it so that you have a colour that is now your accent.

I like the industrial feel of the art, Poonam. I've put together a mood board, concentrating on the grungy industrial colours. I think you probably have room for a small sectional, and a few bar stools at the kitchen counter -- probably no more seating than that. I love this round coffee table, and the fact that the 'distressed' rug really does look as though it might have been in a workshop somewhere. :-) I imagine you might be mounting a TV on the left wall as you enter? Nowhere else to put one, really. If you could get a really shallow TV cabinet to put it on that would be good as it could give you a bit of storage in the room. Which may be small, by the way, but it's fabulous. Congratulations.
