need help for my bedroom!

i want to paint my room a different colour but definitely not going for brown or white, i want something subtle but not too lacking.i was looking at colours like teal, shades of green, blue and shades of it but my tiles are more of dark red/ maroon. please help!

First of all, your floor shouldn't constrain you. You can resolve its impact on the room by placing a large rug on the floor. I would go for a soft shag cream rug so it is textural and literally soft on the eye and feet.Then, with your bed and furnishings around the walls, you can "break" the join between floor and wall and paint your teals or greens... a soft green that veers more to olive than lime could work, as could a soft teal... hard to say without photos...

chemayne I like the white bunks. Another idea with the bunks could be to have the bottom bunk coming out crossways so there is space for a small desk under the top bunk. Is the study area for your kids or yourself? 1 - This is quite bulky but has two beds and a small study area. 2 - The 2nd is quite a big installation but deals with most of your issues. 3 - I like how the bottom bunk has a trundle for sleep overs.

I would definitely consider an off white colour as this will be a safe, and probably more attractive option with the colours your stated on your bed. However the sheen may not go well with the green and white laminate, if the chandelier go well with the decor of the room then I think going for a sheen finish could easily finish off the room! However if not it could really make your room have two contrasting style schemes. Off white would also look good, but if you like a bit a glam, then a sheen finish is a fantastic option! What other stuff do you have in your room? Is it possible to upload a picture as many 'minds' can make light work lol. We cannot really comment on adding things to brighten it up but I am sure there are designers on Houzz that can help. :)

Sorry to say the designs are pretty poor. No disrespect. U right about the bath tub beside is not good. The beds and doors are positioned in “conflict”. Our climate and culture is different. No way a French architect can plan well for u. Perhaps the interior details (like color, texture, materials, etc) from the French architect is good.
