What are the dimensions of the columns?

The columns are roughly 4"x4". The are called W4x13 if you are getting them a steel supplier.

The steel beams not only look great but they are brilliant. They're nice and small so they're elegant and they're metal so very little upkeep like wood. Very nice.

You could use the column for something useful like hanging utensils or cooking tools if you have the height or a towel rack or if you want to just hide it you could put fairy lights on/around it to give a homely feel.my personal opinion would be if there is a ledge you should get some vintage alcohol bottles and put them there as decoration and it works nice in most households.if no ledge just get a wine rack and screw it to the column

Hi Dagobert Duck (interesting name), I am assuming that this is a townhouse in Asia, as you mention the dry kitchen and wet kitchen (terms used mostly in Singapore) and also from the visible lift on the plan that you shared. I would definitly advice you to keep the dry kitchen and place the dining table close to the dry kitchen or close to the bay window on the left. The space here is rather large and can easily accommodate a regular 2 metre table with 8 chairs. If you are concerned about the view of dining table as you enter the house, you could always place a round table near the entrance to block off the view. I agree with Elaine about placing the furniture away from walls. Place a bunch of fresh flowers or art/sculpture above the round table like in a hotel entrance. So the the first view you see when you enter the house is the table with flowers. Its difficult to give you any further advice as we have no idea what your final vision of the place is? Master bedroom with the bathroom door closed. The Chinese wedding cabinet will move to another room. Now with the door opened and a wider view of the bedroom. Getting closer. The sink is protruding quite a lot in the room. I imagine one rectangular slate that is going from the door opening to the column. A view from the other side. The bath tub with the door closed. The same with the door opened, blocking the access to the tub. A view showing the glass that forms part of the corner of the room. I an thinking of hacking the glass area and the portion of the wall between the glass and the door leading to the bathroom, leaving the bottom part to prevent water from going to the bedroom. To close the space, I am thinking of folding nyato panels similar to the cabinet's doors for a unified look perhaps with some areas in stained glass for a Peranakan accent.
