Rearranging of furnitures.

Generally pendant/chandelier lightings are a focal point and thus furniture are arranged following the alignment of the light. But if the room allows to have imaginary divider that allow you to have two space in the same room making the space 1/3 and 2/3 of it. How would you place the lighting? Perhaps the 2/3 is the living area and the other 1/3 is dining/smaller living area?

    2/3 is the living area, 1/3 is the smaller living area.
