Matching black leather sofa

Hi, i have an existing 3 seater black leather sofa (the edge of the shape is rounded) and i would like to purchase another sofa to match. I have read that upholstery fabric sofas would work. What other tips would help me match the current sofa's color and shape?

The key thing to think about is making sure the 2 sofas are different enough that it doesn't look like you tried to match them and failed. You want to make sure the shape of the arms is in the same style - rounded or square? do they go to the front edge of the seats or not? Also is the back a tight back or loose cushions? Make sure the new sofa has the same visual weight as the old one. If it's a heavy looking sofa, get another heavy looking sofa. Since the leather one is black, I'd go with a grey colour. It will look good with what you have and be easy to clean. Make sure the fabric is 100% polyester. That is more durable than fabrics with cotton in them.

take a pictue with you when you shop...then you can see if you like them together. Curves don't need to match either. throw pillows can have fabric of opposing furniture

Hi, Could you add a pic of the lounge area outside bedrooms? There seem to be too many palettes of colours within furniture from white tv cabinet to dark brown book shelf to light brown dining to black/blue/beige sitting pieces. Tie up sitting by adding few cushions in possibly black/white/blue combo. Extend sitting area of living through the entire span of AC wall. You need a larger rug for this space. Angle dining table between 30 to 45 degrees with long length between detached counter corner to bookshelf end towards lounge. This will add the flow to lounge. Add a table runner along the centre of the long length. You need larger artwork pics or a collection of art pieces on living room wall behind beige sofa. Lounge can have a console and wall with a composition of family picture frames to personalise space. Remove blue artwork in the last pic. Instead, you can add a composition of wall shelves with artefacts on them or wall hooks with hanging artefacts. Rugs, table lamps, floor lamps and few bold decorative pieces will add the required warmth. A round centre table in the living room can be good.

These are the color we are going to choose from. Our living room got one side is all window as shown in the picture. One side has two doors towards kitchen and a small storage room. We would like to put the Sofa in the middle to divide the living room into living area and dining area. Also we would like to paint the wall into a different shades than the rest of the room. Any recommendations?

There should be some cohesive element that ties your two sofas together. In the inspiration photo the curvy orange sofa and armless beige sofa are quite different but they both have chrome legs and a low profile.
