I was hoping to see a photo because I thought maybe there are other options than curtain dividers. If you say that the space is not that big, I think it should not be closed with curtain dividers. It could stay open but separated with a sofa table with a vase or a lamp.

Lots of storage built along one wall to get rid of clutter th e green wall would probably be best then a desk and more storage under window. Paint the room a soft gray with white cabinets some nice beddig and a great piece of art above the bed.
