Comments (14)I also have an overwhelming need to see something curvy, flirtatious and round in the space. Consider this when scouting for decor and accesory items (i.e. round rug, curvy fluid light fixtures). Also, would it be a complete abomination to sand down the furniture (so it looks older) or painting it a new color before upholstering to modernize it? I agree with j222b's suggestion in that the furniture and space could benefit from some eclectic coverings but perhaps a neutral fabric against a new color that could bring out the carving of the wood could work too? In my head I see a rusty orange or deep aubergine purple or rich dark green. Just a thought......See MoreTiny Flat
Comments (10)What do you think of a mirror for the backsplash on the kitchen? You cant see the pic here, but it faces a huge window on the other side of the room. I love the idea of grey/ dark cabinets, (with a wood coloured surface worktop) but might cost a small fortune to rework it. Will check on prices. The wallpaper idea is also really nice - much to mull through. so hard to decide! I'm thinking of replacing the dining table set with a booth + round table seating and maybe add a mirror behind it space. Not sure if i can fit a whole L booth into the dining space and still fit in a table, so might just settle for a booth on one side....See MoreHelp executing this idea..
Comments (9)I think the block of wood idea would be good and then you could play around with the wire to get something that will stand without attaching to anything. Then decorate the wire the ones in the pic are also attached to the ceiling which is probably not a good idea in a rental, drill the holes after you have decided on wire....See MoreNeed help creating an industrial feel that's still cozy
Comments (4)I would get rid of that pendant. Here's one link to industrial pendant lights http://www.houzz.com/industrial-pendants Pick a light that you like and show it to your landlord. I bet she/he will say yes to your suggestion since pendant lights can easily be changed. In fact, if there's already a really secure junction box there already i bet they may even go with a ceiling fan light combo if that's what you really want...See More- 9 years agolast modified: 9 years ago
