How do I view and participate in discussions?

The 'Advice' part of Houzz provides a place in which homeowners and professionals can ask questions, discuss ideas, welcome feedback/input, and show off before and afters!

You'll find Advice through the tab in the top right corner of Houzz on your desktop computer, or in the 'Latest' section of our mobile apps.

Within Advice lives a few different sections:

Design Dilemma - a place where you can post a question or dilemma
Before & After - where you can show off a transformation!
Polls - somewhere to ask a question that involves a choice, or multiple possible answers
Using Houzz - questions relating to using the platform, guides, and FAQs
Other - anything unrelated to homes, renovation or gardening
Pro-to-Pro - only accessible to professionals, where you may discuss business, trends, and trade updates

To post your own discussion, click on 'Advice', and you will land on a screen that looks like this:

Add a title: Something that isn't too long, but concisely describes what your post is about
Describe your dilemma, issue or project: Providing as much detail as you can will ensure other users are well placed to provide accurate answers
Add a photo: In addition to your description, providing visuals of the space or project will prompt people to be more responsive - everyone loves to look into other people's work-in-progress! You can either upload one of your own images, or add a photo from Houzz/your ideabook
Pick the right category: Ensuring your discussion is sitting in the right category allows it to be found easier, meaning you're more likely to get responses.

If you are seeing a different format of our Discussions when logged into Houzz, do not fear, it's just one of two layouts you can choose from. If you'd like photos back in the list, follow the instructions below... There are now two views you can choose from: 1. Compact (default) Choose this option to see the most discussions on one page at a time. There is a small photo icon on the left to show which posts include their own image. 2. Standard This is the old default view and it shows a photo where there is one or more in the post. Don't forget, you can also see a different selection of discussions by adjusting the dropdown filter.. Let me know if you have any questions! Luke (HouzzAU Community Manager)

How do I share photos using Houzz?

Sharing photos on Houzz has never been easier. Hovering your cursor over any photo will show you a Save button and an Email button. Here are three ways you can share your photos: 1. Clicking Save will add it to an ideabook you create. You can then add collaborators to your ideabook ([more info[(https://www.houzz.com.sg/discussions/how-do-i-create-and-share-my-ideabooks-dsvw-vd~3812457)) 2. Clicking the email button will send it to an email address of your choice. 3. Clicking the photo itself will open a new photo page where you get even more share options... Happy Houzzing! Where/what plants to get to decorate bedroom?

Money plants are super easy to maintain! I've had mine for the past 7 months since moving in to our new flat and it is growing wildly around its 1.5m pole with minimal care. Cacti don't need much attention as well and make for nice decorative plants especially in toilets where you might not get much sunlight. The air plant in your second picture was actually being sold at my neighbourhood pasar malam and I was very close to getting it (apparently it only needs occasional spraying of water) but it wasn't quite my style and I went for a different plant that I'm still trying to figure out the name of. :)

HI there, I am not sure how I missed this one but if you are still wondering, indeed the Contact box for a pro is a more direct way of asking them a question about a product or project.
