Need to replace current built-in stove.

I have a 10 year old stove that needs replacing. My kitchen is still in good condition and I have a solid surface countertop.


My problem is with the cutout size. My current cutout size is 555x470mm. Many stoves do not fit my current cutout.


Can I just change the portion of solid surface where the stove sits? Is it possible to cut the existing countertop and join a new piece seamlessly with a cutout to fit a brand new stove?
