Furniture Design Dilemma Living Room

space management

Hi. I currently have a delimma of space management in my new home, i have a layout of 33ft x 16ft of space to work with, I need some advice and opinion for the space, how much shd be allocated for my hall area, dining area, entertainment bar area.

depending on the way you live. Ask yourself: how many people are eating in the dining area? Do you like to have friends coming to your house? ........The principal of Form follows function from the early 20th century is still applicable I guess.

I like the pics Vikrant posted! I've worked with two buyers recently who required counter space for their coffee bars. The wet bar or butler's pantry (depending on the age and style of the home) are good places to set this up if there's not enough space on the kitchen counter with other kitchen activity. Since it's your home for now, jazz up your cool coffee corner and enjoy! You might get bored with maintaining a cute chalk board. What about 2-3 bright prints? You can find cute sets which are already framed.

The wall gaps to the cupboard carcass could easily be filled with scribed strips - this would be standard for a new fitted unit anyway. Gaps to side of sink may be more of an issue as they could collect water, but I guess that's a standard size sink and you'd have a hard time finding one to fit perfectly, so again a scribing strip in a water resistant material could be the way to go.

Drill hole for piping at kitchen sink

Unfortunately, they will not. I have drilled the hole by the side (on the concrete surface) and re-surface (make good) the side of the hole with cement only. It does not seem to be as firm as the cement that was added with sand. Here in Singapore, I couldnt find any solutions similar to what were suggested (at Houzz website) to apply on a completed concrete kitchen top. I only managed to find these, which come highly recommended from the local hardware shops, supposed to be added 4 parts Protection Coat and 1 part Polyurethane. Any comments?

HI Callen Aw, Congratulations on your new home! You must be very excited to start renovations based on your wish list and ideas of what you want and need in your space. Most apartments today are rather small but not necessarily limited in what one can achieve. It all depends on what you want from the space.
