Are these mold & Mite on the surface of my wardrobe?

Anyone have experienced this before? Bought these Ikea Pax wardrobe about 7 years before. About 2-3 years back dark patches started to appear. The Ikea product guide indicated this wardrobe comes with 10 years 'Guarantee' on workmanship and product defects.
Contacted Ikea customer service. Was told that this is 'mold and mite' that grew because of high humidity in Singapore... Don't really buy the reason. I have other furniture for more than 10 years, never have such problem before. My bed room door is also wood, no such patches developed before.
BTW, mold and mite, that sound like health hazard, do I need to dispose of these wardrobe and including the clothes in it?
