Placing of bed and furniture and TV

last year

Needing help on maximise storage for the master bed room. Need to includes TV, full height carpentry, dressing table. Queen size bed.

Hello Cody, If the TV isn't going on the mantle wall than the only other available wall is the 13'5" wall. You might think about moving the TV to this wall and balancing it with art or plants. Your sofa can be turned with its back to the entrance/stairs and a small console table can be placed behind it to act as a visual stop. Your chair can be placed where the sofa currently sits or you could add a pair of new chairs to this area near the stair alcove which would create a smaller seating cluster there. Small benches could be placed in front of the fire for additional seating, when and if necessary. This one is a challenge, but if you don't mind the TV as focal point and the sofa perpendicular to the fireplace, this could work. Hi Trishtham, you can consider to have a see through TV feature wall or a glass panel wall with lower part as your TV console to create the location for TV and space for wall outside bedroom 2 as the location for sofa. If You want a spacious living room space, can even consider to extend the study room wall to push the TV feature further towards dining area.

I would get rid of that pendant. Here's one link to industrial pendant lights http://www.houzz.com/industrial-pendants Pick a light that you like and show it to your landlord. I bet she/he will say yes to your suggestion since pendant lights can easily be changed. In fact, if there's already a really secure junction box there already i bet they may even go with a ceiling fan light combo if that's what you really want
