Which direction to lay vinyl

I am trying to decide which direction to lay vinyl in the apartment.
I like diagonal like the picture but because of the weird layout I am not sure of the final product.
The other option is left to right. Definitely easier to install for contractor. But also not sure if better because of living room layout
