need help to dress up my teakwood daybed to comtemprory look

would like to put my 2m length teakwood daybed in my living room. would like it to have it a new look!
right now it has faded teak colour.
would prefer to paint a lighter colour to the wood and dress it up in contemporary look and gives it a less bulky look to it. Please help to give ideals! Thank you.
