Curtain help, what sort of material and colour should I choose ?

Help me pick a color for my family room. Majority of the stuff will be in white, mint and grey. I've attached a picture of the 3D imaging my ID did for me, actual picture of the house right now, and the couch that I fell in love with.
My couch is more of a taupe colour. Depending on the lighting, some times it looks slightly more brown than grey in certain lighting/angle. I took the picture in the furniture store. It hasn't been delivered yet, my apartment is still a warzone!
Please suggest some curtains color, I'm quite clueless, don't quite like the blinds in the 3D image. Blinds look less cosy to me.

Comments (13)Hi Rubypumps. Unfortunately you have made the common mistake of mixing undertones. I see this a lot as a colour consultant. Mistakes with your hard finishes are the worst kind because they are very costly to change. Right now your walls have a pink undertone and your walls behind the tub and counter are clearly blue grey. Since blue is complementary to pink, it brings out the pink in the tile even more and the clean blue makes the tile look dirty. It may be hard for you to see this, but this is what's happening and this is probably why you don't like your bathroom. Since you chose such a busy mosaic, it has become the boss (and focal point) of the room and I would now keep your other finishes as simple as possible. If you can, down the road, change the beige tile. Because unfortunately, there is no magic colour combination that will make it disappear. Working with what you have, I would most likely go with a more neutral cabinet like Uniboard G21 Viva Walnut. It will help warm up the space. Comments (18)Hi, I agree with Gary, do a hotel setting to make it more appealing. Here’s an idea. Remove the partition, move the closet down and add a big slider freeing up the space for a spacious bedroom with lounge seating/dining by the window. Comments (11)Hi, I am currently renovating my kitchen. Pictures of my tiles are below. I love wood grain cabinets. However, i am at odds as to whether I should get wood grained or solid coloured laminates. My designer told me that I can only choose from Arova n Jennings brand. He does offer EDL as well. But I do not like the solid colours from any of these laminate companies. A solid black colour will leave finger print marks easily. And I think grey is going to make my kitchen look monochromatic which I feel might get boring overtime. Some advice is really needed....See More
