11 HDB Flats With Entrances That Give a Warm Welcome
Whether purpose-built or a simple stool, a little extra thought makes all the difference in these welcoming entrances
Apartments can be very limiting when it comes to entrances – often, the front door opens immediately to a living or dining area. HDB flat entrances can be even trickier, especially when the entrance has a view of the common corridor. When the entrance hasn’t been considered in the renovation, it often ends up being an obstacle course of shoes on and around the dust mat. Who can afford to set aside precious floor area to create a proper foyer, much less the Western concept of a mudroom? These flats did, and they’re better – and much more welcoming – for doing so.
