What's Your Lucky Colour in the Year of the Pig?
Some say the right colours can usher in extra good luck this Lunar New Year

When it comes to auspiciousness, global colour authority Pantone hit the jackpot with its Colour of the Year for 2019, Living Coral. Chinese astrology and feng shui site KarmaWeather says for the year of the Earth Pig, colours that symbolise fire – red, orange and pink (Living Coral is the pretty union of all three) – will bring good fortune to those that wear it. Could it bring good fortune to those who live in spaces decked in the colour, too?
Asian paint company Nippon Paint has collaborated with feng shui and astrology master Hillary Phang of New Trend Lifestyle Group to create Colours of Fortune, a more detailed guide designed for each Chinese Zodiac sign. Let’s see what colours each sign needs for some extra good fortune, according to these experts.
Do note, these lucky colours are a result of how your Zodiac interacts with the elements that will be prominent in the pig year (the Earth element, for example, needs more Fire to bring on the good fortune); other feng shui experts don’t subscribe to decorating with lucky colours.
