Bedrooms
Hidden behind cupboards doors is a Murphy bed (double, not queen). The room is used mostly as an office, but when it's being used as a guest bedroom, required access to the office is going to decline hugely - so the length of the bed can take up the entire width of the room! For comfort and convenience, the cabinet has a headboard and lighting. Shelves are attached to the adjacent wall. Because the room has so many different functions, things need to be to hand. Shelving tucked away but accessible is important.
Possible stone brick feature wall? But smooth - no holes for insects to hide
It IS a Murphy bed!

Impact of a feature wall - I don't think I like it!
There is such a thing as too much white!
Cream can be beautiful too. Add gold and another small accent colour (e.g. Dark brown wood? Black?). May be alternative to white...
Here's a wood feature wall. I don't like it that much
In a flat, I might need a column. Could paint it white, or black (if that makes it 'invisible') - or make it a feature by cladding in wood.
What to put above bed, if anything? Something gold? Or something very colourful?
A Murphy bed which, when pulled down, has a nook built into the cupboard for small bedside items, and reading lights above. When up, if wood is same as cupboards - I would want white - just looks like a walk of cupboards
A world map covering a wall could be interesting - but must be in colour!

Cream and white can work together
A big bright painting overwhelms the room!
I kind of like the world map wallpaper. But not in grey. And colour may be overpowering.
There is such a thing as too much white
The dressing room looks lovely - and full of light. A pocket door could work well here.
Floor to ceiling opening doors to balcony brings the outside inside!
Gold and cream wallpaper above bed may be a way to bring these colours into my bedroom
A beautiful view makes the room!
A beautiful (green) view makes a room
Against a white bedroom with plenty outside greenery, colourful bedding can work
For rooms in a flat with no view of outside, could do large indoor plant - real or artificial. Brings greenery to a view of a passage, for example
The multi-coloured, yet white, cushions
In a small apartment, a sliding glass wall or folding doors could close off my bedroom when I have guests. When I'm alone, I open them to give myself the feeling of a huge, muti-function bedroom!
What about a wooden ceiling?
White wall of cupboards with no handles. Make as much like a painted wall as is possible.
Flexible free-standing reading lamps are better than built-in reading lights - if can't repair, just replace!
A fabulous demonstration of how a Murphy bed can work in a dual-purpose (e.g. study, or even lounge!) room. Only thing I would change is some form of bedside table for a book, clock and lamp.
Too much white!
Does capture some of the feel of colours I think I like: white, cream, gold and a little dark brown wood, possibly
Murphy bed
Trompe d'leil painted ceiling lovely. Expensive - worth it? Would have to build lights into the effect (perhaps in clouds, sun, moon)
Gold and cream and white
I'm surprised: I see this as too much gold in the room! So I should be careful about white/cream/gold ratios
Introduced gold by hanging some fabric panels on the wall - can do different shades of gold like this!
White and gold wallpaper. Vertical stripes could be lovely
Beige and white elements, clean lines, varying textures and lots of natural light make for a peaceful and sophisticated space.
