It’s easy to go wrong with pink. Certain shades can bring to mind medicines such as Gaviscon and Calamine – you definitely wouldn’t want this in the space where you prepare, and sometimes eat, food. Certain saturations, such as hot pink, can be overwhelming or reflect their colour on food, thereby making it unnatural. It takes good taste and a controlled hand to make pink work well in the kitchen, as these designers demonstrate.
