5 Reasons to Shop at Thailand's Furniture Fair This Week
Not that we need a reason to go to Bangkok, shopping mecca that it is, but here's why you should bookmark it for March
Opening a day before Singapore’s very own international furniture show (IFFS) opens to the public, the Thailand International Furniture Fair (TIFF) this year welcomes shoppers on March 11 and 12.
While Thailand is known for its beaches, distinct culture and cuisine, here are five home and design reasons you should make time for this show.

2. Direct access to manufacturers
Especially useful if you are building new spaces as you can consolidate orders from different manufacturers and have them shipped to you in Singapore.

3. Big discounts on furniture and accessories
Like many shows, exhibitors usually offer products on display for sale to the public on the last day. Booths also provide free samples and run promotions if you make a purchase during the show.

4. Start your own home-based, design-related business
This may be a long shot but Thailand is great for sourcing for home and office products. When you find unique and thoughtfully designed products that are of great quality, perhaps you will be inspired to put your business sense to test. Already in business? There is a free business matching service by the Department of International Trade Promotion at TIFF.

5. Chatuchak Weekend Market is open on these days
If you still have some energy after visiting TIFF, check out the famed Chatuchak Market. Covering an area of 35 acres, this weekend market is one of the biggest in the world. It features 15,000 booths of products from every part of Thailand, including handmade ceramics, antiques, fabrics for the home, and other knick-knacks. As the market is divided into 27 sections, do note that furniture and home decoration sections are 1, 3, 4, 7 and 8.

1. Get a healthy dose of design inspiration
Thai design is not new for Singaporeans, who enjoy shopping for edgy as well as cute Thai fashions. In between shopping, take a break at the hippest Bangkok cafes, and marvel at their interiors.
The furniture show is a major platform where leading furniture producers, exporters, designers and entrepreneurs of related businesses based in Thailand showcase their latest collections and new ideas. Occupying Challenger 2 and 3 of IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, you’re sure to find booths fuelled by Thai creativity.
