Houzz Singapore may have just launched in April, but we’ve grown by leaps and bounds with you. Over the past couple of weeks we shared your favourite Houzz Tours and Rooms of the Week, as well as photos you saved to your ideabooks. As we approach the last day of 2016, we look back at the big design milestones of the year – some of which were brought directly to you only through Houzz!

Then in May…

Supporting the next generation of Singapore interior designers at Design Intervention’s Young Designer Award
On October 27, Houzz Asia Pacific managing director Jason Chuck (far right) joined Design Intervention‘s Andrea Savage (second from left) and Nikki Hunt (second from right) in recognising promising design talent when Aung Naing Linn (third from left) was given the Young Designer Award 2016. Kissa Castañeda, strategic content director of Singapore Tatler Homes (left) and Vinson Chua, senior assistant director and unit head for Sector Development at the DesignSingapore Council (third from right) were part of the judging panel.

Interior designers got their nod at the Interior Design Excellence Awards

Ending the year on a high note, December saw the President’s Design Award handed out to Singapore’s best. We covered the Winning Residences from the President’s Design Award, including the in-demand architect Rene Tan of RT+Q Architects, who was lauded as one of three Designers of the Year.
