I love Asian art deco! I find the Asian art deco far more restrained (in terms of the emphasis on geometry and opulence) than it's North American counterparts - perhaps some of it is rooted in the Tropical experience.

Moreover, Art Deco had a longer lifespan in Asia - you can easily find Deco architecture or home decor that was dated to the 1950's or even early 1960s.

Streamline Moderne and restrained Classical are my favourite aspects of the vast art deco style. I love that this style celebrates the joy of life and was very forward looking.
