Ngee Ann Polytechnic student Simon Tan, who is studying Architecture Specialisation, bested fellow design students from his school, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), Raffles College of Higher Education and Temasek Polytechnic to win the Young Designer Award 2017. He won $2,000 and a trophy as well as a potential job offer from Design Intervention after graduation, and an iPad Pro courtesy of Houzz. Ngee Ann Polytechnic also received $2,000 worth of design books for their library, for producing the winning student.
