One Plant, Five Space Styles: Ficus lyrata
Looking for plants that will work in your space? The fiddle leaf fig plant might be for you
A native of tropical Africa, the fiddle leaf fig is a popular plant seen in a lot of show flats. Previously featured in our container plants series, it has large leathery leaves in a glossy green hue, and is relatively easy to grow, making it an absolute favourite of many. Indoors, it can grow up to 3 metres while in its natural habitat, the fiddle leaf can grow up to 30 metres. But thanks to the dwarfed variety, Ficus lyrata bambino, the evergreen shrub is now even more indoor-friendly, with the bambino growing up to only a metre tall.
