Olive green, khaki green and the verdant variety of related hues in this colour family are tricky tones to nail down. Take green, add a splash of yellow to warm it up, then a drop of taupe for earthiness. What sounds like a muddy mess results in a surprisingly stunning colour that we just can’t get enough of. Olive green (in all its different shades) is such a restful, calming colour. We have used it in our house (in every room), with white trim. You can then change the style/ambience of the room with (dark) reds, black, gold, neutrals, or anything really - just look to nature.
