Just moved into your first home or rental? How’s the bathroom looking? If it’s seen better days but still basically functioning, you can do all kinds of things to improve its look and feel (and most will take you no time at all). Obviously, replacing the sanitary ware and tiling is prohibitively expensive and, if you are renting, impossible, too. But with some clever styling and a few inexpensive purchases, you can turn a tired bathroom into a pampering haven in no time.

Chairs are not on everyone’s must-include list when it comes to kitting out a bathroom, but in a first home, where making major changes is often impossible, adding small pieces of furniture to the room can greatly improve how it looks and works. rather than trying to cover up "full on" colour schemes, how about trying to make them look a little more retro intentional? Like if the whole bathroom is pink, why not add black and white accents such as all matt black tapware and towel rails, paint the walls and ceiling white, then tile over the existing floor (or use cheap Lino if the budget is super tight) with black and white modern patterns. Like a chevron? Black and white towels and accessories to match would look great too. Though if you can't get them to replace the old gold shower frame, I'm not sure what to do there!
Maybe use metal paint in black on the non-door frame parts then put in a beautiful black and white shower curtain and remove the door??? Lol
