Vinyl (with special no slip on the floor and smooth on the walls) instead of tiles in a wet room bathroom is not only future proofing but soo easy to clean. No shower screen to pay for, clean or step around. I have been told by so many people that you need a glass screen for privacy/ security??? and to stop the whole bathroom getting wet. Even when I wash my hair, ( I am tallish, have long hair and am messy) the splash zone is surprising small. Also I would rather wash an extra towel for the few splashes than clean a shower screen.

So no screen to trip/fall against. More room for the future chair etc. And surprisingly comparable in price to tiles. Oh and of course NO GROUT!!!

When we are old ( as well as now) the easier to clean the better.
