I didn't think I was poor, but does anyone else see a problem with a 'studio bed' costing close to 3 thousand dollars? A backless daybed can't be found for less than 1800 unless it's cheaply made in one of the cheapest Asian manufacturers? And these aren't Made in USA Craft pieces, these are run of the mill what I can find. It doesn't make sense.

Otto, yeah well.. don’t we say “it doesn’t make sense” about almost everything we buy these days?! But coincidentally, I was just thinking yesterday about money spent on a well upholstered, comfortable, body form fitting, back supporting piece of furniture IS worth the money. If you’re not sitting properly, you can’t even think. A good desk chair for example is priceless if you want to concentrate on that business decision.

I just purchased what I called a setee but now, after reading your piece, realize is really a chaise lounge. I've always wanted one and this was at the unbelievable price of $45 at an estate sale just around the corner from my home. It is in good condition, covered in wonderful high quality cotton with a lovely small rose pattern, has a curved back and one long arm that slides down into the lounge end. Four small white wood legs and one large comfy cotton-batting throw pillow. It is now my fav reading corner. Thanks for this piece.
