Yes, totally agree Hakkaa! My (as yet unpurchased sofa) would not only have to be comfortable and inviting... none of this high backed, no arm rests or square foam-filled DIY seating... but also a sleeping space! (I only have one bedroom so vital when folk come to stay). This sofa 'function' wasn't mentioned in the article. There are many sofa styles that double up as comfortable beds but they do tend to look like sofas that 'double up as beds'!! I'll be opting for low slung arm rests that can act as a pillow. When I can afford it, 'Z beds' look good. They inflate quickly into a single or a double with a sturdy concertina frame and deflate just as quickly into a very compact stowable unit. With all this plus camp beds I'll be able to accommodate 3-4!

Felicity, a good point about there being enough space to hoover beneath your sofa!
