The CousinsThis backyard oasis combines tropical and moroccan elements, all set on a contemporary backsplash. Downstairs is a large, casual outdoor living room, complete with tons of comfortable seating and a fire pit. Upstairs features a top-of-the-line outdoor kitchen with grill, refrigerator, tap, and ice machine, as well as a casual seating area. Out back on the lawn, a table with cushioned chairs makes for the perfect spot for al fresco dining.

Archadeck of Central South CarolinaThis gorgeous deck is built from pressure-treated pine that has been stained. The flowing multi-level design features a centerpiece of twin staircases leading from the landing to the upper-level deck. The deck encompasses the entire back of the home with ample area for rocking chair relaxation, outdoor dining and entertaining and 360-degree views of tranquil Lake Murray from every angle.
Archadeck of AustinOur clients wanted the dramatic look of a pergola for their kitchen with additional coverage for shade and protection from rain, too. A pergola over a specific section sets off that area and defines it as an outdoor room. As you may know, some pergolas provide more shade than others. It all depends on the pergola design. This large two-beam pergola, attached to the house, is designed for shade with purlins that are close together. The pergola also has a translucent cover that filters UV rays, blocks heat, and shields the outdoor kitchen from rain.

Archadeck of AustinWe built the base of the outdoor kitchen with chop block stone. While we didn’t install the granite countertops, we did install the smooth, cream Lueders stone surface that supports the clients’ Big Green Egg. You can see these homeowners plan to do a lot of cooking outdoors. In addition to the Big Green Egg they have a grill, a griddle, a refrigerator, storage space, warming drawers and more. With bar seating at the counter, their guests will be able to visit with the chef easily.
Christopher D. Marshall Architect, LLCThe owner wanted to add a covered deck that would seamlessly tie in with the existing stone patio and also complement the architecture of the house. Our solution was to add a raised deck with a low slope roof to shelter outdoor living space and grill counter. The stair to the terrace was recessed into the deck area to allow for more usable patio space. The stair is sheltered by the roof to keep the snow off the stair.

Matthew Cunningham Landscape Design LLCA lush rooftop garden overlooking Boston’s historic Back Bay offers stunning views of the Prudential and John Hancock Tower. The character of the site is amplified by the dramatic contrast between architecture and sky. Mature magnolias underplanted with hostas form a threshold into the historic brownstone. Weathered-wood planting beds spill with new hardy shrubs, perennials, grasses, and herbs; a paper birch and a wind-sculpted spruce lend dramatic texture, structure, and scale to the space. Rugosa rose, juniper, lilac, peony, iris, perovskia, artemisia, nepeta, heuchera, sedum, and ornamental grasses survive year round and paint a brilliant summer-long display. A collection of new and antique containers dot the rooftop, and a terrific orchid collection rests beneath the birch tree during summer months.
Archadeck - ColumbusThis stunning multi-level deck in Grove City, OH, was built using Timbertech decking in Silver Maple with a complimentary picture frame border, parting boards and fascia trim in Brown Oak. The deck is finished with an all powder-coated aluminum railing.
