What struck us strange about this property was that it was a beautiful period piece but with the darkest and smallest kitchen considering it's size and potential. We had a quite a few constrictions on the extension but in the end we managed to provide a large bright kitchen/dinning area with direct access to a beautiful garden and keeping the 'new ' in harmony with the existing building. At Chelsea Park Gardens, we aimed to balance the building’s traditional architecture with contemporary living. Restored mouldings and cornices preserve its heritage, while generous windows and a custom pebble strip accentuate ceiling height and natural light. Bespoke glass and timber doors promote fluid circulation and visual connectivity. A bold palette of vivid green walls, organic mosaics, and luxurious marbles creates dynamic contrasts that bridge vintage charm and modern sophistication. The ground floor layout supports both intimate gatherings and larger social occasions, with multifunctional living, dining, and breakfast areas connected through sculptural joinery. The kitchen, positioned above a large window, features an Arabescato marble island under hand-finished chandeliers, serving as the social heart of the home. A classical-style skylight and expansive glazing blur indoor-outdoor boundaries, inviting both friends and family to gather. Custom timber doors, 19th-century fireplaces, and carefully curated furniture complete this layered, refined interior, designed to adapt gracefully to both social and private moments.
