Jennifer Brouwer Design Inc.
This living room was inspired by the love of neutrals and an urge from the client to incorporate pops of colour.
Yellow and Gray was our launch palette. We soon found lovely visuals, to support our mission. We kept the furniture calm and serene then punched each piece with pops of fun sunshine yellow!!
I know if you read my descriptions Yet again one of my favorite projects!!! I can't help it, I love them all!!
Thanks Jack and Angel, it was a pleasure working with you both :)
This project is 5+ years old. Most items shown are custom (eg. millwork, upholstered furniture, drapery). Most goods are no longer available. Benjamin Moore paint.
What Houzz contributors are saying:
Medium greyI don’t know why, but grey and yellow seem to be made for each other. Many people are hesitant to use yellow but when put with grey, it just works. You can create a cheery space by using a soft mid-tone grey with vivid yellow accents.16 grey combinations to try
7. Mix bases, match shadeThis room is a great example of mismatching lamps: The crisp white drum shades connect the floor and table lamps, though both are very different. The almost Roman styling of the floor lamp and the crystal-ball base of the table lamp both work wonderfully against the dove-grey walls, and both serve different purposes. A floor lamp generally lights a larger area than a table lamp, but neither light a whole room. Together they make for a warmer lighting scheme that is bright enough but not overbearing.
The case for solidsWhen there are so many lovely patterns to choose from, it’s easy to dismiss solid coloured cushions for being boring. In the right space, solid cushions can really establish the room’s colour palette like in this dove grey and buttery yellow living room.16 Rewarding Grey Colour Combos
