San Luis Kitchen Co, Buffet Pantry
We took a cluttered and closed off kitchen and opened it up to the dining and living areas for a 'great room' ambiance. A key to the design was having the refrigerator recessed into the garage wall which allowed wide open access from kitchen to dining. The tall cabinets in the dining buffet are shallow pantries for abundant storage. The Client is not afraid of color, so we started with white cabinetry as a base and allowed her to play with the wall treatments - she picked a strong off-yellow for the kitchen and paired it with berry walls in the living area.
