The large family room features a cozy fireplace, TV media, and a large built-in bookcase. The adjoining craft room is separated by a set of pocket french doors; where the kids can be visible from the family room as they do their homework.

Gigi's Princess room was inspired by my 2014 Mansion in May nursery design. We used similar elements such as the blush pink and gold colors, tea set, gold crown and the large 8 foot giraffe. We added the Osborne & Little Coronata Star wallpaper to the mix with a custom neutral leopard print area rug. The custom window panels were made of Thibaut fabric called Robin with Samuel and Son's band trim applied at the leading edge. Restoration Hardware Baby & Child furnishings were used in a blush pink linen upholstery. The gold canopy bed and unicorn were curated from Pottery Barn Teen. This boys bedroom decor was inspired by the framed Union Jack flag, which also has sentimental value as the boy was born in London, UK. We chose to paint the room entirely in Benjamin Moore's flint, including ceiling and trim. The room is small but with the slanted ceilings and contrary to myth, the dark colour doesn't make this room feel smaller. We popped with red and green accents and used many of the boys items as accessories when styling.

CHILDREN'S BEDROOM. This imposing, red brick, Victorian villa has wonderful proportions, so we had a great skeleton to work with. Formally quite a dark house, we used a bright colour scheme, introduced new lighting and installed plantation shutters throughout. The brief was for it to be beautifully stylish at the same time as being somewhere the family can relax. We also converted part of the double garage into a music studio for the teenage boys - complete with sound proofing!

Resting upon a 120-acre rural hillside, this 17,500 square-foot residence has unencumbered mountain views to the east, south and west. The exterior design palette for the public side is a more formal Tudor style of architecture, including intricate brick detailing; while the materials for the private side tend toward a more casual mountain-home style of architecture with a natural stone base and hand-cut wood siding. Primary living spaces and the master bedroom suite, are located on the main level, with guest accommodations on the upper floor of the main house and upper floor of the garage. The interior material palette was carefully chosen to match the stunning collection of antique furniture and artifacts, gathered from around the country. From the elegant kitchen to the cozy screened porch, this residence captures the beauty of the White Mountains and embodies classic New Hampshire living. Photographer: Joseph St. Pierre
