An exceptional newly built mansion in Surrey set upon magnificent grounds located in a remarkably secure and distinguished prime address. The house was designed with a unique specification adhering to exquisite elegance and design throughout. The sumptuous interiors set the tone for the standard of living and with it an ultimate luxury experience.

The staircase is a stunning architectural feature within the house, designed to captivate as you enter. It boasts a fully curved structure, elegantly crafted from a combination of premium materials that enhance its grandeur. The handrail, meticulously curved from rich oak, gracefully guides the eye along the sweep of the stairs. Complementing the handrail are metal spindles, powder-coated for a sleek finish and adorned with intricate ornaments, adding a touch of sophistication and detail. Each tread is made from oak, offering both durability and beauty, and features an American-style return nosing that adds to the staircase's classic appeal. The pine strings provide sturdy support, while the risers are crafted from ply for a seamless look. Adding to the staircase's refined appearance are the pine aprons, which neatly finish the edges and contribute to the overall aesthetic. A highlight of the staircase is the entry, marked by a distinctive bullnose tread that curves outward, creating an inviting first step. Flanking this initial tread are two elegant volutes, enhancing the visual impact and making the staircase a focal point as you enter through the front door. The main staircase was repositioned and redesigned to improve flow and to sit more comfortable with the building’s muted classical aesthetic. Similarly, new panelled and arched door and window linings were designed to accord with the original arched openings of the coach house.

The modern design of this stunning dark oak and glass staircase works wonderfully within the traditionally styled space. By matching the shade of the dark oak finish with the existing woodwork in the home, the newly renovated staircase blends in even with the drastically different styles.

H Brettell & Sons Ltd. The client asked us to revamp the handrail and spindles of their new flat and chose our Windsor pattern spindles with polished American Black Walnut handrail. The new scroll and shank is supported with a cast iron copy of the timber spindles and painted to match. The smooth frogs back pattern handrail was French polished and complimented with polished Walnut base rail.
