Mayfair Project — Ladies’ & Gents’ Toilets Renovation British Virgin Islands London Office, Mayfair I was commissioned to redesign and renovate the ladies’ and gents’ toilets at the British Virgin Islands London Office in Mayfair. The brief was to modernise both spaces while remaining sensitive to the heritage, character and formality of the building. To achieve this balance, I introduced classic wall panelling to bring structure, elegance and a timeless feel. Soft, tonal paint colours were chosen to enhance the period detailing while creating a warmer, more contemporary atmosphere. Brass accents were incorporated for a subtle touch of luxury that reflects the building’s prestigious Mayfair setting. Both rooms were fully reconfigured and updated with new flooring, sanitaryware, lighting and accessories. Thoughtful styling, layered textures and refined finishes completed the look, ensuring the spaces now feel cohesive, elevated and relevant—while still honouring the building’s original charm. The result is a pair of beautifully refreshed washrooms that feel both modern and in keeping with the heritage of this distinguished London address.

El reto que teníamos en los aseos era el de unir ambos mediante una ducha compartida. Para ello fabricamos una mampara a medida realizada en acero lacado en negro, con dos puertas abatibles y con ventilación independiente. Cambiamos los inodoros antiguos por unos suspendido, colocándolos simétricamente, aprovechando el mismo tabique para ambos. Los pulsadores los pusimos en negro, continuando la gama cromática de la mampara. Para el suelo y paredes utilizamos un gres cerámico rectangular en un tono gris crema. Para el mobiliario nos fuimos a unos acabados en madera natural, con la grifería integrada en la pared de color negro.

We colour drenched the bathroom in a dusky pink paint. Designed a travertine floating sink with unlacquered brass tap ware. We added a pendant light, walls scones to create a feature wall and elevated the space with beaded panelling in keeping with the rest of the house. The roman blinds were decorated with a pink and cream fringing to give each window its own unique design.
