Whidbey Artists' Retreat

Photography: Steve Keating

In the "Valley" artist's studio, a large, open main space allows plenty of room to work on pieces of all sizes. A long white wall can function as a gallery or blank backdrop, as needed.

This has a lot going for it...it is clearly way longer than what I have to work with. I like the potential for the lofted bed area to be sitting over the existing bathroom to add space. The staircase can be more of a ladder or spiral staircase than this long clunky thing. The floors here are concrete and windows high. I hate the lighting, though.
