Horrible experience. Signed on to a planning agreement on a renovation in September 2019. Was given a timeframe of 4-6 weeks planning and 16 weeks to complete the renovation. April 2020 came along and planning was not only incomplete with absolutely no work started, but it was already way over their highest estimate of costs with a lot left to add. Alair charges a premium on the cost of absolutely everything. All said and done, when I ended the agreement after being convinced they could deliver on none of their promises, I was out thousands of dollars with nothing to show for it besides the plans from the 3rd party designer who I could have hired myself directly and was well worth the couple hundred dollars. Was contacted after another review by their head office and received no reply to my response.

Built a home in the 2019 year and it was an excellent experience. I built a two story, in-fill in a developed neighborhood. I felt supported and heard by the team. I would build with them again and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to build. Their project manager Joel Switzer was fantastic, calm, kind and a trouble shooter. Their software is also incredibly useful as well as their pre-selection work they have the home owner do to truly understand what the homeowner is wanting.

Bespoke Interior Design

Sarah of Bespoke Interior Design worked with Alair on a project. We were super impressed on how professional and organized and reasonable they are. Unlike other home builders they had budgeted correctly for their clients from the beginning, which avoids the scope creep and extra unexpected costs and headaches. We would definitely recommend Alair to our future clients. They make the process the easy, positive and enjoyable. Alair's service is very personalized to the client. We would love to work with them again!!!

When we decided to start building our dream home, we made the choice to work with Alair Homes. Our project is now complete and we are living in our home & we know we made the right decision. The design process was not just about helping us choose a plan but making it 100% suitable for our lifestyle now on the farm with children & also a practical design that will work when our kids leave home. Through the build we were always kept updated regarding trades and timelines and many things were finished even ahead of what we had been told. No detail was overlooked, there was no hidden costs & the whole Alair team was great to work with. If we ever have need to build again, we would not look elsewhere before choosing Alair!
