Artista Kitchen & Bath Design

The Short: I cannot highly enough recommend Artista. You should certainly use them. The Long: My wife and I undertook our luxury home remodel without a designer. We did well in the small spaces, but when it came time to design our kitchen and master bath, we found ourselves totally unprepared. That's where Artista came in and was invaluable. For the kitchen, we had already picked out all of our desired appliances, and we knew the floorspace in which we had to work, but we had no idea how to lay it out or how to account for cabinetry. Michael (and you will work with Michael, as Artista is a second-generation family business and Michael works with every client individually) is an absolute wizard at taking your vague concept of a design and turning it into a down-to-the-inch brilliant layout. He not only accommodated every "ask" that we brought in, but added design flourishes that we hadn't even considered which give the whole project the finished, high-end look you want (for instance, adding a faux-drawer to the top of a paneled dishwasher front so that the entire run of cabinetry has a consistent, symmetrical appearance; little things like that which end up making such a big difference). In the master bath, it was similar situation where we knew our floorspace and what we wanted, but needed Michael to bring it to life, which he nailed as well. In that regard, it was specifically great to watch him work with my wife to design her makeup/vanity area. He applied his expertise with cabinetry and consideration of light and space seamlessly and without ever being condescending or dismissive of any of her concerns. Finally, two other things that don't bear on Artista directly but are certainly worth mentioning: 1) his chosen fabricator/manufacturer uses high-end materials and the cabinetry is engineered to very exacting standards, and 2) his installer, while not actually an employee of Artista, is an exceptional carpenter and clearly places high value on seeing to it that all of Artista's clients are completely satisfied. Because of ordinary renovation hiccups, the installer had to come back 3 times for minor changes/finishes, but each time he showed up exactly when he said he would, never asked for more money, never complained about the additional work, and made sure the work of each visit was finished to the same standard as the initial project. In fact, once the cabinetry was finished and we brought in other trades` unrelated to Artista (plumbing, electric, etc) each of those contractors, totally on their own, mentioned to me that "whoever put these cabinets in really knew what they were doing!" or something similar. It was a complicated job done exactly right the first time, on time and at budget. In sum, if you're doing a renovation, you know there are a mind-numbing number of decisions to make. As for whom to use for your cabinetry, though, just go with Artista and you'll know you got one right.

Top notch. A true pleasure working with Mike from Artista. He is a real professional, He was totally involved and genuinely cared about our project, with great ideas and practical suggestions. The product is great and I cannot say enough about the quality. I have no regrets and I recommend Mike and his Company Artista to anyone who wants a beautiful looking, finely made kitchen. On top of that, it was delivered on time, as promised and without incident.

Mike started with a cluttered - dark space and lack of storage which was at its best a mediocre 1980's design. We had a small cramped kitchen and adjacent small dining room. He created a bright - cheerful - open space which is now the center of our home by opening up the two rooms into a bright, modern and functional space. We now look forward to coming downstairs to the new kitchen in the morning to brighten our day, along with our first cup of coffee, of course. Even more amazing is we multiplied our storage in the new kitchen four fold. We were able to collect a lot of stored kitchen items that were waiting for a home and hiding in our basement and attic. Our new storage capacity allowed us to bring so many items into our daily life which were lost and forgotten. The Artista Kitchen cabinets are eye catching and everyone who comes over comments on their beautiful lines and the matching crown moldings tie the entire room together. Mike at Artista was great to work with! Super responsive and helpful in selecting our cabinets. Also, there were some unexpected delays with the manufacturer that were completely out of his control, but he was great at keeping us updated, super apologetic, and did everything he could to expedite the delivery. Artista did my complete kitchen and butlers pantry. They were nothing short of exceptional. From designing it and coming to my home and measuring they were very hands on the whole project. It came out great and holds up well . They always come through and they stand by their product . If there is anything I need , they are always 100% there. I have never worked with a better company . We purchased a home in the area and only wanted to use local companies for our renovation. Artista was recommended by our real estate agent, so we visited their showroom. We instantly liked Mike and the wide array of kitchen cabinet possibilities we discussed. Artista was the most professional renovation company I have used in my house since I am living here. The workmanship is impeccable and the customer service is even better. A phenomenal job! After initially visiting three well-known kitchen design stores, we were frustrated by the lack of ideas and enthusiasm for our kitchen project. We then changed directions and visited Artista Kitchen & Bath Design - - a smaller, family-owned, design company. Our first meeting with Mike was very informative. He looked at our current design and offered preliminary ideas about maximizing our space. He clearly explained the types of cabinet offerings based on our needs and goals. I have worked with Mike and his team on three kitchen projects. 12 years ago was my first kitchen project and recently finished one with Artista this year. Artista designed each one of my kitchens to meet my needs, and designed it perfectly. Working with him was easy. He cares and more importantly, he is good at what he does. Our project was a major kitchen structural demolition and integrated expansion of a home built in the mid-1960's. Significant changes to all aspects of the original kitchen layout were and house structure were needed to accomplish our goals for a modern state-of-the-art luxury kitchen. The scope of this kitchen project (budgeted in excess of $250K) required close integration with the licensed Architect for the job as well as, the general contractor, plumbing contractor, electrical contractor, etc.etc. This was no project that I would allow some unprofessional or discount fly-by-nite kitchen remodeler company to even bid on. We were referred by the finest kitchen cabinet manufacturer, WoodMode, to their multi-generational experienced best dealer in our area: designer, engineering professionals: Artista Kitchen & Bath Design. Michael and his team proved flawless in all details, design, execution, and commissioning of this complex kitchen project. Mike was extremely helpful and flexible in working with us to get our kitchen done. First he was very knowledgeable and helpful in getting us the look we wanted within our budget. He meet with us outside of normal business hours when we needed and helped us put together the whole concept. Next, we were renovating our entire house and had some construction delays which caused the cabinets to stay in storage for longer than anticipated. Mike was able to work with us to keep the costs down on that as well. Lastly, we had a few custom items that he was able to help us get made, specifically a massive island top made from reclaimed wood that came out amazing!

From the initial meeting to the final designs and then the visits during the renovation, everything went smoothly and efficiently. The cabinets were top notch and built like tanks - Made in the USA! Mike made sure that everything was going according to plan and was in regular contact with our contractor as well as our appliance supplier so we did not have to lift a finger. He truly did an outstanding job and the project came out better than expected!

Not only do we have double the countertop space, the Brookhaven "Linen" cabinets are gorgeous, the installation went perfectly, and Mike M's design ideas were excellent. I could not have had a better experience from start to finish. Mike and the team walked us through the process, provided an extremely fair and accurate estimate, and helped us to design the kitchen of our dreams. They were super excited about (and supportive of) us trying an unusual color for the cabinetry, and were more than happy to tweak the style we chose when we weren't 100% sure if we loved our sample door. Not only is the result beautiful, it is super functional and so beautifully constructed. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Artista- they've already completed projects for a few friends who are equally thrilled.

We chose Artista Kitchen and Bath Design to remodel my kitchen. The quality of the cabinets was superior. The owner of the company, along with the designer, truly did an amazing job. We went from a small galley kitchen, with little cabinet space, to four times the amount of cabinet space then what we had before. The design was great! Our kitchen looks amazing and I have received so many many compliments, especially on the cabinets. I had an issue with the installation of the spice drawer and a cabinet door and the owner rectified it immediately. The entire team at Artista were friendly and knowledgeable in their field. We worked with Mike who was terrific. He was heavily involved throughout the project. He strongly influenced the design and layout of our kitchen and made great recommendations on the materials. Even after the kitchen was completed we realized that one of the drawers would be more functional if it was split into two more shallow drawers and Mike changed them at no cost. Given that the kitchen is the single most important room in the house, getting the best for the job was of the utmost importance. We found everything about Artista to be absolutely impeccable; level of service, quality of product options, guidance, professionalism and all around workmanship. From initial design concepts all the way through to the smallest of finishing details, we could not find words enough to express both the job they do and people they are (the latter of which being such a refreshing bonus these days.) Artista designed and provided the cabinetry for a whole kitchen remodel. They were completely involved from the onset meeting with my architect, myself, the contractor and builder and whenever needed. Their attention to detail was incredible. For example, they wanted the refrigerator in a certain location in the kitchen and the architect said it would not work. Myself, Artista and the builder spent 2.5 hours brainstorming and were able to finally make it work. The cabinets are approximately 5 years old and look as good as the day they were installed. I would use them again in a heartbeat.
