About Us

Austin Gray Design Group (AGDG) is the collective vision of Denise N. Gordon and Tanya S. Lewis, who share a deep passion for supporting and collaborating with other Black women in the design industry. The company serves clients throughout the United States and abroad. First meeting in 2015, Denise and Tanya instantly connected, like long lost sisters! While very different in presentation, their shared generosity is the core value that bonds their partnership. Together they curated a collective of Black female creatives who embrace sisterhood. This growing, “Tribe of Excellence” has decades of combined expertise in interior design, construction, architecture, culinary arts and décor. Most importantly they possess a spirit of generosity to ensure that all partners succeed. Austin Gray Design Group is more than an Interior Design company, it is an experience!

For the past few years I have watched Austin Gray develop and grow. They have influenced my designs at home and in my rentals, from simple rearrangement to full renovations. I love how flexible they are with your budget and your taste. I look forward to working with them for years to come!

Over the years, I have turned to Austin Gray many times to transform my living space into the warm, comfortable, elegant environment it is today. So far, they have transformed my dining room, living room, TV room, master bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen – and I’ll soon be calling on them to do their magic with the rest of my house. I have worked most closely with Tanya – who has taken the time to understand my needs, preferences, and objectives, and then added in her own exquisite design sense to create something far beyond what I could have imagined. And when the three of them – Tanya, Denise, and Lance – put their talents together, they can do anything. I have been impressed with their professionalism, design sense, and amazing “can-do” attitude. Moreover, they are genuinely good-hearted, caring people who make the process fun! I wholeheartedly recommend them!

The Austin Gray Design Group did an outstanding job redesigning our home on many levels. They redesigned our basement into an wonderful space for our teenagers to use. They did a amazing job in designing our outdoor deck into a great entertainment space for friends and family. The provided us with stylish, functional and quality furnishings. They also did a tremendous job redesigning our closets...and all within budget. I would highly recommend their services and would hire them for future home projects. We receive complement on their work all the time.

I used Austin Gray to create the perfect baby room for the new arrival of the only girl child in the house. I asked for not too frilly, gave my color scheme and they did the rest. I am sooo please with the result of our baby girls room. It was perfect for my taste. Princess, with not too much ruffles and frills. Thank you!!

The designers at the Austin Gray Design Group didn't just redecorate my sitting area and kids' room – they transformed the way we live in them. The designers I worked with were professional, creative, and resourceful. Most impressively, Denise, in particular, was a psychological judo master in engaging my husband and kids in the process! I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

I contracted the Austin Gray Design Group to design and complete a major remodel and renovation of one of my properties. Work completed so far included attic roof ventilation and insulation, as well as bathroom remodeling. They were very knowledgeable about industry standards and very creative in the use of existing space. The materials were upscale and of quality. The personnel were responsive to my needs and, thankfully, respectful of my time frames. I was particularly impressed with their professionalism and their ability to price appropriately. There have been no financial surprises! Renovations have been well designed and well built and the interior design has been elegant as well as comfortable. I highly recommend the Group.

The designers at Austin Gray have a simple elegance that's classic. I recently bought a new home and they warmed it up with a statement rug in all the main rooms, fabulous light fixtures that picked up on the original style of the house and pops of color with window treatments and pillows that made the house feel like ME (but a more elegant version). My friends are STILL talking about how beautiful but accessible everything looks.

I really enjoyed meeting Denise and Tanya I like most women thought I was ready for change until the project began and even though I pulled teeth they were patient and showed they are serious about their jobs. I really love the changes already and know that I will be working with these ladies on my next project for my home

The Austin Gray Design Group transformed several rooms in my Atlanta home. Professional and creative, the team reimagined my master suite and turned it into a luxurious retreat on time and on budget. The makeover of our guest room, dining room, living room and outdoor spaces was also fabulous. I especially appreciated their ability to take my initial ideas and elevate the vision to create spaces that are both stylish and functional. It's truly a joy to entertain in our home thanks to the Austin Gray team!

Austin Gray was an exceptional experience. The project involved organzing and executing a moving into your new home, incl space planning & interior decorating. The care and attention extended beyond moving articles from location to location. Years of collecting left me with vaults in a storage facility. Austin Gray worked with me to determine items to be moved to the new home, items to be sold and items to be donated. They also managed the transfer And tracking of these items to the appropriate location. All of this was done not just professionally but with care and attention. I also needed complete decorating support as I had neither the inclination nor the time to select items for the new home. All of this was handled with utmost attention to detail and a true commitment to customer service. This firm is exceptional.
