I worked with Barbara at her studio in Malibu and during that time we forged a fantastic relationship. She became a mentor and friend, and taught me many things about the interior design business. Because of her success with clients and projects, her professionalism, and her transparency and willingness to help I knew I was in good hands. Furthermore, a relationship was created for life, and that is a testament to who Barbara is both as a businesswoman and mentor.

Barbara Grushow, my interior designer, did the most incredible job on my patio. The two lounge and eight patio chairs still look brand new. The beautiful fabric looks as if it was installed yesterday. She also used four large blue pots that everyone raves about. It's made my yard so up to date. She was very professional and easy to work with. I would highly recommend her to anyone. Every thing was done on time and as promised.

Hi! Where do I even begin? The project was huge. It involved a complete remodeling of 5000 sq.f. space and it took us almost a year to complete. There were numerous challenges like mold, rotten wood, awkward floor plans... We were very fortunate to have Barbara on our side. Barbara and her team have done everything from blueprints to sourcing materials to furnishing and decoration. The result is beyond stunning. Above all, after the job was done, strangely enough, the house feels much much bigger on the inside, since a bunch of barely used spaces have been turned into prime living spaces. Barbara has been a joy to work with. We certainly had our fare share of arguments. However, looking at the finished job I am grateful she was as persistent in those few critical decisions. Barbara is a visionary designer! Very professional! Able to handle intensely complex projects. She has a great taste and a network of professional connections that helps her accomplish literally anything! P.S. I haven't attached any pictures. There are too many... Ask Barbara. I am sure she's as proud of her work as we are.

I am an outside sales rep for a high end line of fabric, trims and wallcoverings and have worked with Barbara for five years. I'm a general contractor and this is the first time I've had the pleasure in working with Barbara Grushow and her design firm. We're just finishing up a high end, whole house remodel, and as big projects always go there are a lot of details and constant decisions to be made in design, functionality, and practicality. This is how I found Barbara: See a room on Houzz. Salivate. Save it to my Ideabook. Then realize it was once again the work of Barbara Grushow Designs. I followed her work -- though stalked is probably more like it -- and loved her glowing reviews. And all the raves were right. Cut to my own family buying a house in Manhattan Beach. I knew immediately who I had to hunt down: Barbara. I sent a gushy email that night and heard right back. She knew I was under a tight deadline and assured me she'd get it done. She did and then some. Everyone knows moving is stressful, but you forget just how stressful the whole business is until you're in it. Our house fell out of escrow, everything kept going wrong, blah blah blah... but Barbara was right there, a calm force in the sea of chaos. She steered the project, found a contractor and kept things clipping. Her choices were impeccable (and she included me in the process, knowing I wanted to be hands on). She's also genuinely fun to work with. Her entire team is a delight and they went above and beyond to make sure the project was done and done RIGHT. Great eye for detail; she caught things I'd never see. She was also respectful of changes to our financial situation and worked with me to keep costs down. The end result is a house that is so uniquely us, such a fusion of what we had before and how we married it with the new. We have a cheerful, happy, beautiful and functional house. Each room makes me delight in its own magical way. I can't recommend Barbara enough.

We manufacture custom furniture and worked with Barbara Grushow on several recent projects. She has a very eclectic sensibility and shows great attention to detail. We work with a lot of interior designers and we really appreciate the way Barbara sets herself apart.
