I highly recommend Gwen DeBruyn and her company Bayberry Cottage! I hired her to give us a color consulatation and suggest a paint color that would match existing furniture and art work for our waterfront condo. She chose a wonderful color that worked perfectly in every room. She was great to work with and highly suggest her company for all of your decorating needs!

Amber and Gwen were the answer to our decorating prayers for not only our cottage in SH, but our main home as well. They are so easy to work with and wonderfully accommodating. They continue to amaze me on how effortlessly they put fabrics and furniture together to create the most comfortable and functional spaces. The builder we selected for our remodeling project had worked with the Bayberry cottage decorating team, so it seemed like the right choice. The scariest part for us was, we could not be present for the project! Well, we did not need to worry. Gwen, Amber and the rest of their efficient team listened to our concerns, color choices, and style preferences and did a first class job. The tiniest details were especially nice; interesting handles, door nobs, pulls all thoughtfully chosen and working together so well. The staircases are perfect, with beautiful moldings and trim. The bathroom fixtures, mirrors, and cabinetry make each one a little jewel. The bedrooms are playful and soothing, with lovely fabrics, window treatments and rugs. Detail, Detail, Detail!!! We are happy.

We purchased a condo in South Haven MI, a beach side town on Lake Michigan, that was in need of updating. We knew of Gwen, Amber and Bayberry Cottage from our previous visits to their store in South Haven. We contracted with Bayberry Cottage for inspiration, planning and project management. Gwen and Amber's care and attention through all phases of our project was brilliant. Their commitment to fulfilling our wishes and vision was more than we could have hoped for. They always responded to our many questions and concerns in a professional and timely manner. Their expertise and calm characters were a perfect combination! It was clear from our first meeting that they love what they do, really seek to understand their clients and deliver on their product with a great team of contractors! Bayberry Cottage Testimonial-2015 It is with great pleasure that we write this testimonial for Gwen and Amber of Bayberry Cottage. When we saw several homes that they had decorated with a coastal and casual feel we knew that it was the style we wanted and that they would be the ones to guide us through an extensive remodeling project. In the beginning, Gwen and Amber encouraged us to write our ideas down and share our vision for our home to ensure that they could capture everything about the way we live. They provided invaluable guidance in regards to paint colors, flooring, lighting, counter tops and window treatments. In addition, they were creative in designing furniture pieces like a custom dining table, banquette and vanities for our bathrooms. Thru the many decisions that were made before and during the renovation they were creative in their ideas coming up with many different ways to make more space for our growing family. We will never forget that day we went off to work and returned home after Gwen and Amber had set it all up. It was so emotional to see what they had professionally put together. We just couldn’t believe our eyes as we stood and stared in awe. It was truly like one of the makeover shows you see on TV. It is a true testament of their talent that our family and friends who have been to the house love the renovation and say the same thing we did the first day we lived in our completed home, “we just don’t want to leave”. We built a new house and asked Bayberry Cottage to help us furnish it. They were able to get an idea of our tastes by having us post our likes and dislikes on Houzz. They did an excellent job of giving us a couple different options, choosing furniture that we loved, and even helping us pick out paint colors. When possible they worked some our existing accessories. I've known Gwen and Amber for years and would recommend them to others.

Wish I could give 10 stars to Gwen at Bayberry Cottage! I have enjoyed working with her twice; remodeling a summer home and an urban condo. In both spaces Gwen used her eye for style and color and her attention to detail to make our homes PERFECT!

We hired Gwen and Amber to redesign our living room. We wanted it to have more of a "cottage" feel and to have more seating. It was a difficult space to work with. After reviewing our preferences and working on a plan, they presented us with three different options. We liked all three, but ultimately chose the one that we felt was the most fun. We are very pleased with the end result. We subsequently hired them to rework the bedrooms and upstairs loft- again, fabulous results.

Having been in the window treatment business since 1987, I find it a delight to work with decorators of the caliber that I have found at Bayberry Cottage.. Often it seems, designers of any sort put themselves on a "pedestal". Not so in working with Gwen and Amber. Love Bayberry cottage! When Bayberry first opened in South Haven I remember walking in the store and just fell in love with everything, especially the warm cozy feeling. In 2003 I asked Gwen if she could help me create that same feeling in my home. We started with an old log cabin that was completely remodeled to a "cottage home". The overwhelming response I hear from everyone that enters the home is how warm & inviting it is. Bayberry has since designed another residence for me winning 1st place for condominium design & decor from the Kalamazoo Builders Association in 2010. From personal service, great vision and overall design they are the best!
