About Us

Fringe Studio was founded in 2008 by Stacy Binns and George Bennett. Stacy and George each have over 20 years of experience in the architecture and interior design fields. They have created some wonderful spatial solutions for their clients. They have also designed and produced over 50 pieces of custom furniture. Fringe Studio provides design services for select projects. The studio is also creating fine contemporary furniture pieces in both standard and bespoke configurations.

We hired George and Stacey to help us to help us get an extensive remodel of our 1950's rancher in early 2014. We had no idea where to begin and were slightly afraid of the coming project. George and Stacey worked with us as a team, and were very kind and open and willing to consider whatever ideas we came up with, and helped us implement them. One thing that my wife and I really loved about Fringe Studio was that these folks did not come in with a preset agenda and were not proprietary about ideas they offered and we rejected. Instead we really felt part of a team with them, and loved how they worked with us and the lovely plans they developed. I sincerely miss chatting with George over plans on the odd Tuesday afternoon.... Lovely couple, great service. Highly recommended.

George Bennett of Fringe Studio provided architectural design services for a house addition we are building in the Sierras. The location and existing house made an addition particularly challenging. My wife and I met with George several times before and during the design process, and as a result of extensive give-and-take he came up with a great final design that includes everything we hoped for. More than that, George created a beautiful design that takes maximum advantage of the site and views. Given the fact that the addition is built essentially on a large boulder, it still blends in with the original house and doesn't look like a tack-on. We are very happy to recommend George Bennett and Fringe Studio for architectural design services.
