BONE Structure

Well, at least we liked the design. But the post design service was severely lacking. We approached Bone wanting a turnkey package. They insisted we use their contractors to finish the job. But once the frame was in place, Bone disappeared. And whenever we reached out, there was a different person we talked to …high turnover. They were of no help or support when their contractor was screwing things up ( and dismissed part way through the job, which was painful) and no help when flexing beams caused drywall cracking. And while they promote their net zero credentials, if you don’t have a savvy contractor, you don’t get the insulation benefits they infer. So, money aside -they’re expensive - we would definitely not recommend you embark on a Bone building.

This is a great concept but that’s where it ends. Once they have your money, they are useless. Their customer service, project management and support are non existent. They are the multi million dollar equivalent of ‘dine and dash’. Their sales pitch is out to lunch. Expect to pay at least $650/sqft and their commitment that it a 3000sqft home can be erected in a few weeks with 4-5 workers is a blatant lie.

No reviews here since 2015...I wonder why? Our experience was very poor. The actual design work was ok - but senior management is super aggressive and $$$ focused. Stay away!

BONE Structure has accomplished a tour de force by presenting us with an alternative even more interesting than the existing project, and this, in a very short time. The BONE experience has been very positive every step of the way. A high-end project, delivered on schedule, with no cost overruns. The professionalism of the project manager on site cannot be ignored. He managed to have the job run smoothly and quickly while maintaining continued communication with us. No unpleasant surprises, a big WOW on our part and all our clients that have since discovered our, beautiful, warm and sunny, new dining room space.

It has been 26 months already since I moved in my BONE Structure home and I am very pleased with it. My decision to go with BONE was primarily guided by my quest for a house meeting LEED criteria and important environmental aspects. The recycled steel structure met these criteria, but also offered outstanding strength. No cracks after two years. Furthermore, its location, along the lake, makes the house regularly exposed to strong winds. In these conditions, my guests often mention that the strength of the construction has something to do with it. Nothing creaks or moves, we feel safe. The other element that guided my choice was the flexibility to create spaces adapted to our needs and tastes. The strength of the steel beams allowed for large rooms with no load bearing walls. The opportunity to have large and plentiful windows was also an important criterion for us. In fact, the only limits to your BONE Structure home are your creativity and …your budget. The strength of steel doesn’t change over time, so my children and grandchildren will be able to enjoy this location for many years to come… Tradesmen, plumber, electrician, heating and ventilation specialists, appreciated that the steel beam had openings enabling them to save time when installing their material. BONE Structure is truly in the high-end residence category and the quality of the finished product is perceived by us and all our guests. I would not hesitate to recommend BONE Structure.

We were more than satisfied with the advice, technical support and overall support from the BONE Structure team, before, during and after the construction of our home in Sutton. The BONE representatives were sensitive to our needs and quickly answered our questions and some uncertainties expressed during the course of the project. The comments from our family and friends towards the architectural aspect of our new house were unanimous. The large windows, high ceilings, open spaces and exposed steel beams contribute to its very distinct character. On the other hand, we have been able to see for ourselves the flexibility of the BONE technology when we added a walkway in the mezzanine, one year after the construction of the house was completed. We built our first house with a BONE Structure shell last spring. Everything went very well with our builder. We were charmed by the speed and accuracy of the product. We have a two-stories house situated at the bottom of a mountain and surrounded by forest. The architecture team and our project manager did a very good job designing our custom project. We are proud of our home which is comfortable and energy efficient.

This innovative company is revolutionizing the residential building industry by building homes that are assembled like Meccano, out of light steel. Working with them has been amazing. Minimal waste has been created during the construction. All parts are bolted together with everything delivered pre-cut and assembled like a giant Ikea kit, with high quality! The metal beams allow duct work, plumbing and electrical to pass without any bulkheads. Since there are no load bearing walls I've been able to adjust my interior partitions as I please. Everything has been timely. My house is solid and square and almost complete! It will be incredibly well insulated, with a spray foam wrap! They converted my modern H designed house into a Bone Structure house that I can't wait to move into in October!
