CDDC is a full-service interior design studio catering to residential new build & renovations. Carena is a trained interior designer with a background in carpentry & fine woodworking. Located in beautiful Squamish BC, we work with clients throughout Vancouver, Squamish, Whistler and beyond. We highly recommend Carena Dean Design and Construction to anyone looking to re-design and renovate their home. At the time we purchased our house in Whistler we were living in another country. We had a limited idea of the property lay-out and scope for renovations. Carena expertly managed the redesign of the property and her excellent communication and interpersonal skills meant we were able to entrust the scope of works to be completed to a high standard, in a timely manner and within our budget. Her broad professional knowledge and attention to detail ensured we were able to blend the comfort and style of a traditional alpine home with a practical, minimalist look that suits our needs. Carena is passionate about her work, is client focused and delivers in every way. We love our new home.

I can’t say enough about Carena. She was such a pleasure to work with. She had seemingly endless great ideas and my home office turned out beautifully. I get compliments on it every day. I was recommended To Careena design by my house renovator. Careena listened to my ideas and took measurements of the space, She came back with an initial design subject to the review post interior demolition. Based on the structure she needed to modify the design. This was done very quickly resulting in an even better layout. Now that the new laundry room is complete, we are very pleased with the result. The new space matches the 'theme' of the house and has given us a very functionable new laundry/mudroom. i would recommend Careena design without reservation.

carena put her interior design and woodworking backgrounds together for a custom design and build for a day bed for us. We had been looking for a simple minimalist design for a while, but could not quite find what we were looking for in any store. She designed this piece that perfectly meets all our needs: The end is a hidden storage compartment, the whole bed sits on casters, and the fabric is waterproof and it can easily be taken off to be washed. all in all an excellent product, great service and delivered to the door.

Had a complete home renovation designed and completed from Carena. A TOP PROFESSIONAL in her field created a magnificent layout in my new Whistler 1000sq/ft apartment. Since Carena showed up on the job, she wasted no time in taking accurate measurements with pro grade equiptment. These dimensions were transferred into top quality prints on computer format. As the project grew and changed, Carena was always easily contacted to make immediate changes to prints for the municipal inspectors. The municipality was previously familiar with her high end work detail. This made things easy for me to quickly progress through this renovation. I also had last minute engineering changes with whom Carena was able to coordinate with effortlessly. I highly recommend for any project large or small. The cost charged for work was way less than the amount of effort put in. I will definitely use services again.

Carena helped me along every step of the way as I started the process of re-designing and renovating my kitchen. I came to Carena with a vague vision. Her design knowledge and great sense of style moved my vision from an idea to a concrete and viable plan. Carena provided insight into every detail including the placement of electrical outlets and lighting. This attention to detail, care, and thoroughness continued in the installation phase and resulted in a kitchen and living room nothing short of amazing. Every day, I love coming home to my 'new' home.
