Ceres Greenhouse Solutions

Living in Colorado, I thought a greenhouse would only put me ahead of the growing season by a month or so, until I happened across Ceres Greenhouses. It's mid Febuary and I'm eating fresh grown greens from my greenhouse. Ceres has made it possibly for me never again to pay $4 for less than a handful of kale, from the health food store. Never again to buy trays of starter plants for my huge garden, and wonder at pineapple bush growing so healthy, in February, in my greenhouse. The building of the greenhouse was effortless for me, the only bad part was when the builders packed up their tools and left. It did not take long to build but I looked forward to the builders coming here and watching how fast it went up. Now I have a greenhouse that regulates it's own temperature in this freezing Colorado winter, fresh nutritious veggies throughout the year, and a warm cozy sanctuary to retreat to. I love my Ceres Greenhouse.

Summer and Fall 2014, we worked with Ceres to design and build a 15 x 20 foot passive solar greenhouse with a Ground to Air Heat Transfer (GAHT) system. We live at 8600 feet in Colorado and required a company that was familiar with the climate specifications. They worked very hard to make sure that the structure would be able to withstand a heavy snow and wind load, and provided enough insulation that it's truly a four season greenhouse. (It's 9 degrees outside today, with two feet of snow, and there is a fruiting grapefruit tree, tons of kale growing, and a plethora of other herbs and veggies that are plenty happy.) The design process was fairly seamless, and once the build started it went very quickly. There were some materials production issues in the beginning of the building phase that delayed the process, but it was worked out, and once the structure was up, we couldn't be happier with the result. They know their materials very well. Everything from the windows to the roofing to the indoor siding is meant for this purpose. Would definitely recommend Ceres.

Ceres Greenhouse Solutions are an amazing company that is incredibly helpful at providing excellent passive solar greenhouse design at an affordable price. I contacted them for consulting for the construction of various aquaponic greenhouses as well as other growing spaces. They were highly professional and very knowledgeable in the fields of greenhouses, passive solar design, aquaponic systems, and sustainable living. Their knowledge and implementation of the "GAHT system" is something that all greenhouse builders should look into, as it is has a huge impact in reducing energy costs. All in all, wonderful people with great technical expertise in building awesome greenhouses. Highly, highly recommended!

I searched for many months to find a company that could help me retrofit my energy-inefficient, dated greenhouse to be energy efficient, capable of growing food year round, and attractive to look at! Although I have not yet had them do any work, I know that I will be working with them. For the first time ever, a contractor did not try to up-sell me on anything. The fellow who came to look at my house spent the time to walk me through what will be a longer-term project. He didn't try to bundle anything together that would overwhelm me or make me feel like the project was too big. He split apart the different components of what would need to happen to get the greenhouse to be what I wanted it to be and then prioritized items in terms of what was most important to me. I really look forward to working with them.

Ceres Greenhouse gets 5 stars for customer service, attention to detail, education and a passion for what they do. I was very impressed when I came across their booth at a farmer's market and got to step inside a greenhouse that was flourishing while it was only 40 degrees outside. Even though I haven't yet put one on my property, it's a dream in the near future! Highly recommend Ceres as a Greenhouse company if you're thinking of getting one! Looking forward to mine :)
