Construction Specialties of Columbia

Construction Specialties is a great group to work with. My first introduction to them was on a project to finish 1500 Sq.ft. walk-out basement...workout room, TV room, game room and bathroom suite. The homeowner had hired to guys to do the work and I came in to do the design work. We immediately hit it off and worked together quite well. In fact, I hired them to redo my master bathroom. Last fall they remodeled a large screened porch for another of my clients/friends. The Chippendale railing is absolutely perfect! Next month we will be doing phase I (guest bath) for one of my friends/clients. Then add a bedroom for her sister (who is also one of my friends). After that, we move on to phases II and III at the first house. When these guys are in your home, you can be guaranteed that nothing will be bothered and that the work will always be FIRST QUALITY!

Great team to work with...would recommend them to anyone looking for construction needs. My job was small in scale but that didn't effect the level of professionalism in which I received.

We had a home with some major issues on a two story deck that needed to be repaired before the wood all rotted and the deck fell apart. We live out of state and had to do all communication online and over the phone. They were GREAT we were sent pictures throughout the process and anytime a new issue was found (always expected in construction) they would call us and send us pictures to review when we were talking to them. I would use them again and again.

Working with Construction Specialties of Columbia, Inc. (CSI) was a delightful, pleasant experience for us. From the very start it was clear to us that their primary concern was to do excellent, on-time work that fit what we wanted to achieve, and to do it in a way that provided as little disruption to us as possible (we were living in the house the whole time). We engaged them in early September to add living space (an additional bedroom, small sitting room, and bath in what had been attic space over our garage) so we could have all our children at home for Christmas. We were in the space on time and well before Christmas. The work they did was of top quality. They continually consulted us as construction was proceeding to work out design issues and to make sure we were satisfied. Furthermore, the design suggestions they and their talented craftsmen made were thoughtful and aesthetically sound. Most of all they listened to what we wanted, were sensitive to cost, and were obviously devoted to doing their very best. And they have good people working for and with them. They all know what they are doing, are courteous, and clearly committed to doing quality work. We have talked with several friends whose remodeling experiences were very problematic; our experience with CSI was just the opposite. We have already engaged them again for a smaller project and will be engaging them in the future for several other building projects.

We hired Construction Specialties to add a downstairs bedroom and bath. They did an excellent job and were a joy to work with. They are very much the professionals and take the time to get the details right. People that come into our house are very impressed with how well the addition matches the original part of the house -- both inside and outside. I would (and have) recommended them for anyone doing renovations or additions.
