Nothing escapes her keen eye & kept every aspect of the project moving on track. We trusted her completely & now we live in the home of our dreams.

We are enormously pleased with Courtney King Studio' design of our new home. Courtney stretched herself to satisfy our desire for an esthetically pleasing net zero home and stay within the strict guidelines of our homeowner's association. She went well beyond our expectations in dealing with our changes and the many concerns of our builder. With her professionalism, patience, and infinite good humor we enjoyed a great collaboration among homeowner, builder, and architect. All this stayed within our tight budget.

Courtney was a pleasure to work with. I bought a lot in the San Juan mountains in Colorado years ago and finally decided to move forward and make my dream of building my own house a reality. I was looking to build green and Courtney was the goto architect in town. She was up on the latest green techniques and very intuitive on my desired design. I wanted to be fully involved and part of the crew with every step of the building process. She was very supportive and helpful in putting me in contact with contractors around town. I now have big beautiful southern facing windows that give me free heat in the winter and are perfectly shaded by my extended overhang in the middle of summer just as designed. Radiant floor heating throughout the house. Triple glazed windows and a 14 foot sliding glass wall that opens up to a huge covered deck and an amazing view. A rustic modern designed mountain house with little maintenance required and nothing but character. I'm the talk of the neighborhood.

Courtney was the architect on a house we are currently building in Pagosa Springs. She was very professional, courteous and helpful on our project. We loved that she was eco-friendly and was extremely knowledgeable and had so much experience in our area. We very much enjoyed working with her and would highly recommend her.

Working with Courtney King was one of the best decisions we made when starting our house renovation. We did a complete remodel – top to bottom and inside out. Courtney provided valuable insight when it came to layout, architecture, engineering, and overall aesthetics. She also had a lot of creativity when it was needed, like when adding an entire wrap-around deck and completely changing the entrance to our house. She also reconfigured the layout of our main and upper levels, and helped with plans for finishing our basement. Courtney had vision and really listened to understand our unique and specific needs and wants. We could not be happier with the end result of our house project, thanks to Courtney and her friendly, responsive and professional service.

Actual building came in 30% under cost with no inspection reworks or construction reworks - End result is a build that allowed me to implement my goal of a Zero Net Energy footprint - building provides net-metering solar resulting in a $0.00 LPEA electric bill. Due to Courtney's attention to details and ability to convert my requirements into an acceptable design, I would use her for my next build and would recommend her to someone looking for a true Green building!

Courtney King worked with us to make our dreams of designing our cabin a reality. She was able to sift through our wishes and scribbles to make something concrete and build-able. Courtney always surprised us with her insights and suggestions that were always better than what we had come up with ourselves. She's extremely knowledgeable and trained in her field, but she also listened and understood what we were trying to design.
