Cox Architecture and Design helped us completely transform our dark outdated 1979 brick house into a beautiful open spacious home. Craig Cox and his team provided a level of professionalism, attention to detail and responsiveness throughout the project that made the entire process so easy. We have received so many compliments on the design and layout (which includes so much more usable space for our family of 5). We really enjoyed working with Craig and team. They were professional, prompt, creative and cost-focused. While we had big dreams for what our remodeled home would look like after the drawings came to life, the design and its outcome has exceeded our expectations! In some ways we can't even understand where all of the extra space came from even though we didn't change the footprint of our home. Cox Architecture and Design embraced creativity and ingenuity to make our home and its space so much more workable and comfortable for our large family. They also landed at the lower end of the projected architectural budget, which also pleased us. We are working with Craig Cox on a complete gut & renovation of our family home, our second project. He designed our screened porch several years ago, we get compliments on it every summer. When researching the porch project, I asked several people who had done large renovations if they had an architect they would recommend, none of the people I spoke with would have used their architect again. During the design process, Craig spent a lot of time listening to what we wanted and why we wanted it plus he brought his experience in similar projects to add ideas we hadn't thought of. His construction administration oversight during the process has been invaluable in catching issues before they become big and expensive. Craig is warm, professional and enjoyable to work with.

Craig Cox of Cox Architecture and Design is an exceptional architect. Our first project with him was for a screened in porch addition to our existing home. He managed to tie the design of the porch into the style of the home and we feel it actually improved the overall appearance of the house. We are currently using his services now for an complete renovation. (We’re keeping the porch intact.) Throughout the process, he has provided thorough and thoughtful insight into the design. He has thought things through down to the tiniest detail. An example would be the swing direction of the doors for functionality and aesthetics.. We have retained him for construction oversight and plan to use his services for future projects which will include new construction and a renovation of a property over 200 years old.

I can honestly say I have my dream home thanks to both Craig and Greg’s hard work, attention to detail and patience. I have been living in my house for several weeks and I love the amazing views out every window, more storage than I could ever possibly need, the functionality of every space, and every detail that make my house uniquely mine. There is not another house in the area that looks like mine, yet it still belongs. Craig went above and beyond to make sure I got everything I wanted. We were very fortunate to have found Craig through an online search as we looked to build a new home in North Carolina. From the moment my husband and I met with Craig and his team, we felt like we were in excellent hands. Craig Cox designed a simple, beautiful covered porch addition for us. It blends beautifully with our existing home. During the design process, he listened to our needs and our budget. He also help us find a reliable contractor. During construction he showed up frequently to check on progress. It was a fun project! We practically live on our new porch!
