C & S Ornamental Iron Co. just installed a new "L" shaped railing for our back porch today. and railing for down the back steps. They did a fantastic job. This company is absolutely wonderful to deal with. From having them come out to give an estimate to us to the finished railing, we want to sing their praises. Super terrific company and personnel. The men who installed the railing did a fantastic job and really cleaned up the back porch when they finished. Awesome.

In November of 2017, C&S quoted a fair & reasonable price, the least of the several ironworks I contacted in Baltimore MD. They were quick to accommodate my modification request and the installation was so quick and quiet, I didn't hear them at all this morning. I am concerned that the quick-set concrete was poured in sub-freezing temps and will continue to monitor the integrity of the installation. My only real complaint is their customer service response. I sent several emails in December to verify receipt of my deposit and signed contract, none were returned. I finally called after the 2nd was not replied to and was promised I'd be kept apprised of the completion of my piece and the install date. These promises were not kept, either. I was sent a request to complete this feedback form a week and a half before the job was even completed. Fast forward to July of 2018. I note there is unusual wear on the railing, and it's endemic to the entire balustrade, not just the top of the banister, in addition to significant surface rust. I reach out by asking for contact via C&S's website and emailing the CSR I dealt with directly. No reply. I call on August 6 and spoke with the scheduler. I was forced to follow up on that phone call 10 days later to be told "It was a coincidence that you emailed us the day prior to the resolution however I do agree that customer service is important. C&S does care about their customers and we appreciate your business. We will see you tomorrow." That was a week ago and the service has still not been performed. As an owner of a nearly 100 year-old home, I deal with many contractors for the numerous updates needed. This was a less than "fair" experience. If you have a simple job and aren't concerned with being apprised of the status, shown photos of what to expect, met by the contractor or installers, or need to chase the company down to complete warranty service, this may be the organization for you.

We contacted C&S Ornamental to manufacture and install a railing for our front steps. They stopped by to take measurements and to see a drawing that we were thinking about. Ten days later they arrived to install exactly what we were looking for. They were prompt, very courteous, and delivered a superior product. We could not be more pleased and highly recommend them.

C&S did an excellent job fabricating and installing ornamental iron handrails at a job of ours. We provided drawings and concept photos. C&S fabricated the railing exactly as discussed. I would definitely recommend them.

After pricing several companies for an iron gate to our breezeway, we were very pleased that we decided to use C&S. The price was reasonable and we are extremely happy with the quality of work. I would definitely use them again for future projects!

They did very good work creating a handrail and rail encassing around my cellar way. The workers were professional, clean, and personable! I would highly recommend this company to other patrons.

Our project was completed in a very timely manner. It was actually completed and installed well ahead of what we expected. The product is very high quality, the installation was professionally done, and (most importantly I think) the costumer service that I experienced was fantastic.

I had a need for a simple black metal railing around our basement stairwell/steps. We had work performed in the basement and wanted to get the railing when that was all done. We have simple tastes and related that to C&S. I sent a sketch via email on what I had in mind, I talked to the designer/fabricator on the phone and they installed it while we were away for the holidays. The finished product exceeded my expectations. They worked in a handrail down the steps as part of the overall fabrication, which I wasn't necessarily expecting. Turns out that was a really good idea. Very nice quality and looks original to the house. Thanks very much C&S.

Excellent work and so prompt! I would highly recommend! My handicapped father needed a railing put in quickly and within days it was done.

Came out promptly and performed estimate which shocked us since the railing we wanted was small, only for 2-3 steps, but was much needed due to a recent orthopedic injury. We got other estimates that were in line with this company, so we set up the installation. We had to call once to question the install date and were told " by the end of the following week". I was quite shocked to hear noises coming from my front porch and found 2 workers installing the railings as promised. However, no one knocked on our door or phoned to alert us that it was being done that date. The railings look great and are sturdy, and we love them. We hope they hold up as promised, but timing is too soon to tell. The installers and the estimator were friendly and did their job well. We would use this company again in the future.

I have worked with C&S for over 20 yrs. They provide high quality wrought iron railings for both interior and exterior stairs. They are able come up with cost saving alternatives to use where budget is important.
